President

Bert Williams is a respected leader, manager, and subject matter expert with a career spanning more than 25 years and across multiple disciplines within the Security industry. With experience in both the public and private sectors, Bert has crafted a career that has taken him from the Federal Aviation Administration to US Investigations Services, The Wackenhut Corporation/G4S, and, for over two decades, Fannie Mae, a Fortune 50 company.

Bert was a founding member of the Fairfax County Business Emergency Operating Council, serving as Chair of its Operations Committee. Bert holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland at College Park. He currently sits on the University of Maryland Alumni Association Board of Governors and serves as President of the International Organization of Black Security Executives. Bert is a member of ASIS International and its Maryland Suburban Chapter.

Ricky Davis

Mr. Ricky Davis’s security and risk management career began during his honorable and faithful service in the United States Army, serving in combat, security force advisory, and intelligence positions, respectively. His 27 years of worldwide experience supporting national and strategic security objectives allowed him to work and collaborate with some of the most talented leaders in the world. Ricky is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of RICE Security and Consulting. His organization provides nationwide physical and cyber security mitigation strategies as part of the Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM) methodology and ISO 31000 Risk Management Standards. 

Ricky holds a Master’s in Business and Organizational Security Management from George Herbert Walker School for Business, Webster University, St. Louis, and a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice/Protective Services from Excelsior College, Albany, New York. Ricky also maintains the Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Designation. Ricky joined the International Organization of Black Security Executives in 2013 as a member, ascended to the Professional Education Committee, and has been a current member of the Board of Directors since 2016. Ricky received the Curtis Hayes Versatility Award from IOBSE. Ricky’s professional affiliations include ASIS International, serving as the former Area Regional Vice President for Region 4(b), ASIS’s Military Liaison Community, and The National Institute of Crime Prevention), respectively.

Khris Hamlin

Khris Hamlin serves as the Director of Early Career Professionals and is a member of the IOBSE Board of Directors, where he is focused on developing the next generation of security and asset protection leaders through mentorship, professional development, and strategic engagement.

Professionally, Khris is the Vice President of Asset Protection at the Retail Industry Leaders Association (RILA), where he partners with leading retailers to address risk, resilience, and operational challenges in an increasingly complex and dynamic economic environment. In this role, he collaborates closely with senior executives across the retail industry, public-private partners, and external stakeholders to advance best practices, innovation, and leadership development within asset protection.

Prior to joining RILA, Khris served as Senior Vice President of Asset Protection, Inventory Control, and Distribution Center/Logistics Operations for Saks OFF 5TH. There, he led enterprise-wide asset protection strategy, risk assessments, inventory control, learning and development, strategic hiring, risk mitigation, and end-to-end distribution and transportation operations. He also served as a trusted advisor to senior leadership as a member of the executive leadership team.

Earlier in his career, Khris held key leadership roles, including Regional Asset Protection Manager at Nordstrom, Inc., where he drove strategic shortage reduction initiatives, and Store Manager at Belk, Inc., where he ranked among the company’s top 25 store managers. He also spent 20 years with Macy’s, Inc., building deep expertise across retail operations, asset protection, and leadership development.

In addition to his corporate leadership, Khris is an entrepreneur and the founder of The Khris Hamlin Company, LLC, a leadership coaching and consulting firm focused on developing high-impact leaders across industries.

Khris holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Baltimore and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from George Mason University. He is widely regarded as an intentional and purpose-driven mentor, committed to empowering future leaders and creating meaningful impact within the profession and the community.

Outside of work, Khris enjoys spending time with his family, serving through his church, and traveling the world.

Keltric Goff is an Asset Protection/Loss Prevention executive with over 20 years of experience in the industry. As a Field Director of Asset Protection at VS & Co (Victoria’s Secret), Keltric leads a diverse team of professionals who provide support to the company’s stores to minimize loss and maximize profit while ensuring a safe working and shopping environment.

Keltric began his career in Asset Protection in 2001 when he accepted an entry-level position at Filene’s Basement in Washington, DC. Over a period of three years, his knowledge and passion for the field flourished. In 2004, he joined L Brands, Inc. as an Organized Retail Crime Investigator and has since served in various capacities, including Regional Loss Prevention Trainer, Regional Loss Prevention Manager, and Area Asset Protection Manager.

After attending his first IOBSE spring conference in 2010, Keltric joined the organization to network with like-minded security practitioners and provide support and mentorship to students interested in the security industry. Currently, Keltric resides in North Dallas with his wife, Dr. Lakesha Goff, and his two children, Brooke and Dean. He is an alum of Howard University and a lifetime member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Fanchon Barnes is a seasoned security and assets protection leader with extensive experience in organizational operations, risk management, and governance. She has held key leadership roles in asset protection, including significant responsibilities at Michaels Stores, where she oversaw security operations, risk mitigation, and compliance initiatives. Her career demonstrates a commitment to maintaining safe and secure environments while driving operational excellence.

Fanchon holds a degree from Concordia University, further reinforcing her foundation in leadership, security, and organizational management. She continues to serve as a mentor and advocate for professional development within the security industry.

Monica Small is a seasoned Senior Operations and Marketing leader with more than 14 years of experience spanning the hospitality, finance, and security industries. Raised in a military family with both parents serving in the U.S. Air Force, Monica brings discipline, adaptability, and a mission-focused mindset to her work.

Throughout her career, Monica has led teams dedicated to driving business growth through streamlined operations and innovative marketing strategies. She has successfully built and refined processes that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and create scalable frameworks for growth. Her operational expertise is complemented by deep strengths in technology adoption, data-driven decision-making, and cross- functional collaboration, making her a trusted partner in both strategic planning and day-to-day execution.

On the marketing side, Monica has spearheaded campaigns that elevate brand visibility and engagement, overseeing everything from branding and website development to integrated digital strategies. She thrives at the intersection of creativity and analytics, ensuring that every initiative is backed by measurable impact.

Daniel Secundy is a distinguished expert in corporate security, crisis management, and executive protection, with extensive experience operating in high-stakes environments and advancing modern protective practices. Through his leadership at Provider International Inc., he has supported the development of comprehensive corporate security programs, integrating threat assessment, protective operations, and emerging technologies to strengthen organizational resilience. Daniel’s work also includes a focus on mobile device risks within Executive Protection operations, particularly secure communications and emerging digital vulnerabilities, and he contributes to Aegis, a security technology startup developing tools that enhance real-time intelligence sharing and operational coordination across the safety and protection industry.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from Prescott College and a master’s degree in National Security with an emphasis in Terrorism Methodology from California State University, San Bernardino. He has also completed extensive professional training at Executive Security International, gaining certifications in Corporate Security, Executive Protection, and Corporate Crisis Management. In his role as Director of Professional Education at IOBSE, Daniel leads efforts to deliver high-impact learning experiences that inform, inspire, and elevate security professionals at every stage of their careers. He works collaboratively with industry leaders, subject matter experts, and partner organizations to curate meaningful educational programming, foster professional connections, and create opportunities for practitioners to achieve their professional goals while contributing to the advancement of the security profession as a whole.

Ruben Aceves

Ruben Aceves is Director of Systems for the Americas at Microsoft. He leads regional teams that provide consulting, project delivery, access management, and system support services across Microsoft facilities in North and South America. With more than 15 years in security and technology, he focuses on AI strategy, IoT fleet management, standardized system design, and data privacy and compliance, ensuring resilient protection and solutions aligned to global security priorities.

Rooted in Southern California and shaped by the values of integrity, hard work, and service to family and community, Ruben fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. He is committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of leaders, equipping them with the skills and confidence to navigate complex business and technology challenges and to make a positive impact across the industry.

Ruben holds a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Outside of work, he mentors early‑career professionals through IOBSE and stays active in his Southern California community.

Sean Dessources

Sean Dessources is a Sr. Manager for Asset Protection for The Home Depot Supporting both US retail stores and Supply Chain. Since joining the Home Depot in 2008, Sean has held various roles on the retail side of the business before joining the Asset Protection Supply Chain team in 2013. Since joining the Asset Protection team, Sean has helped design and manage the physical security installations for over 60+ distribution centers and has helped roll out The Home Depot’s enterprise access control system for the Distribution centers. Before joining The Home Depot, Sean was a Park Enforcement Officer for the City of New York. 

Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Buffalo State University. Sean is a member of AA Pulse, The Home Depot African American Associate Resource Group,p and The Home Depot Diversity and Inclusion Committee for Asset Protection. In his free time, Sean likes to travel with his wife and daughter, coach youth sports, and is a die-hard sports fan.

Ben Coleman

Ben “Big Ben” Coleman is a distinguished security professional, leader, and keynote speaker with over 20 years of experience in executive protection, travel risk management, crisis management, and cybersecurity. After playing one season in the NFL with the Carolina Panthers in 2002, Ben transitioned into a successful career in security, leveraging the discipline and leadership skills honed in professional sports. He currently serves as Principal Consultant at Coleman Contingency, where he specializes in developing and implementing strategic risk management solutions for clients across various industries.

Ben’s career spans global security and travel management across sectors such as entertainment, oil and gas, and technology. He has provided personal protection for high-profile individuals, ensuring both their physical and digital safety through the implementation of robust security measures to guard against online risks and cyberattacks.
Ben holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Florida A&M University and a Master of Security Management from the University of Houston-Downtown, demonstrating his commitment to ongoing professional development and expertise in the field.

In addition to his consulting work, Mr. Coleman is an active leader in several influential organizations. He serves as the Director of the Student Education Committee and a board member for the International Organization of Black Security Executives (IOBSE) and is a member of the Legislative Advisory Council for the Global Business Travel Association (GBTA). Mr. Coleman is also a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Ben’s diverse background—combining athletic discipline with extensive security expertise—has positioned him as a respected leader, keynote speaker, and mentor in the industry.

Stephanie Williams

Stephanie Williams is a seasoned Executive Assistant and Office Manager with over 20 years of experience supporting senior leadership in fast-paced, high-performance environments. Currently at Amyris, Inc. in Emeryville, CA, she plays a pivotal role in managing day-to-day operations for the Chief Executive Officer, streamlining administrative processes, and fostering strong client and team relationships. Her expertise spans executive support, office management, and corporate event planning, making her a trusted partner to both leadership and staff.

Throughout her career, Stephanie has held key roles at respected organizations, including Ask Media Group, Inc., National Mortgage Insurance (NMI), Whole Foods Market, and Gap Inc., consistently demonstrating her commitment to operational excellence and collaborative team support. Her proactive approach and attention to detail have earned her a reputation for reliability and professionalism.

Beyond the workplace, Stephanie is deeply engaged in her community, volunteering her time with St. Vincent De Paul and the Oakland Boys and Girls Clubs. Her dedication to service reflects her values of compassion, leadership, and integrity.
